Association of Book Travelers records, 1925-1984.

Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, documents, photographs, and printed ephemera collected by Beverley Chaney, Jr. for his history of the Association. The files consist of Chaney's correspondence with book travelers, sales representatives, publishers, librarians, and other in the book trade; his research notes, typescript drafts, and advance proof of his book, "The First Hundred Years : Association of Book Travelers, 1884-1984." Also included are the Association's constitutions for 1925 and 1935 and minutes for 1980-1982. There are several photographs of Association activities and snapshots of individual members, mostly taken in the 1980s.
